THE SERIES: 20 REQUESTS OF CHILDREN #14
REQUEST NO #14
„Please do not compete for who spoil me more. I love you so much, and the amount of chocolate you give me I can hardly eat.”
After the parental breakdown we tend to pay as much attention as possible to our child. It is natural, as we want to compensate loss and pain they feel. To replace absence of the second parent. To be the best Mum-Dad creature in the world. However, the best present we can give our children is our own peace of soul and mind. Consciousness that no matter how the situation is hard, we can and will manage it. Despite we have less money, despite we lose support in our family, despite we stay alone with the children. Our children know that the situation is hard and regardless to what we think, they are those who can support us at critical moments. We are a team. Let´s trust our children and us as well that we can manage it. Finally, our presence, talking, joint time is much more than a new smartphone or a PlayStation. Let´s rely on ourselves and on our children that we will make it together.
